Guadalajara

In 1967, after a summer journey through Mexico, Georg and Phyllis moved to Guadalajara, Jalisco. Georg's painting's found immediate success with collectors and both he and Phyllis participated in the cultural events of Mexico's Olympics. Georg joined the stable of Lepe Gallery in then primitive Puerto Vallarta. He drew Elizabeth Taylor and she and Richard Burton were among the many collectors in PV. The economic situation worldwide changed dramatically in 1970, and the Rauch's sadly left their beloved Mexico for new adventures in Laguna Beach,California
